What is Chicken Guy!?

A few years ago, Food Network legend and celebrity chef Guy Fieri partnered up with Rober Earl of Planet Hollywood fame to create the Chicken Guy! restaurant chain.
These Quick-Service spots feature mouthwatering chicken, quality sides, and more than 20 signature sauces—you can dip, dunk, and douse your meal until you feel like the mayor of Flavortown.

What’s New at Chicken Guy! in Disney Springs

The news here is that the indoor seating has recently doubled in capacity.

More Seating = Faster Eating

That means there are more seats to handle the hoards of hungry guests coming by each day. It’s a cool space with bold red and yellow paint, graffiti-style wall decor, and even a selfie photo op with Guy and a chicken. Even better? There are two washrooms making this a convenient spot to dine.
This is a popular location, serving over two thousand customers a day on average. In fact, the first thing you might see is a line out the door, but don’t worry, I’ve stood in that line and it moves quickly so you’ll be dining in no time!
Now with the expanded indoor seating area, the whole family can sit and enjoy a meal together in comfort, whether the Florida weather is rainy or hot and humid. Outdoor seating is still an option too if you prefer!

Guy is Shakin’ It Up

New on the menu are four new Flavortown Shakes (chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and oreo) that join their already popular Triple Double Mint and Apple Cinnamon Cereal Shake.
And, for a limited time until August 14th you can grab a seasonal shake: Florida Sunshine. But more on that in a minute…

What to Order at Chicken Guy

We had the chance to chat with Chase, who is an original employee from when this location opened four years ago and is now a manager. He shared with us a few really helpful tips for folks curious about dining here.

For those with allergies, you can speak to a manager when you are ordering and they can help guide you to items on the menu that work for your needs or can be modified – like if you need a gluten-free, dairy-free, or zero spice option.

Is this enough sauces? We think not. Photo by Stephanie Shuster

The 22 sauces on the menu can be overwhelming for first-time visitors, but these tips will get you started:

  • The Donkey Sauce and Brown Sugar BBQ are classics you’ll probably know of if you’ve ever seen Guy on TV, visited his other restaurants, or even bought his BBQ sauce in the grocery store
  • Peri Peri and Habanero Hot Sauce are the spiciest on the list, and typically the spicer sauces are a little thinner, so they don’t coat the chicken so much that you can only taste the heat
  • The number one pick for kids is honey mustard
  • Ranch, Special Sauce, and Garlic Parmesan are pretty popular
  • All the sauces are gluten-free except teriyaki, sweet ‘n’ sour, and wasabi honey

We started with fried AND grilled chicken tenders… which we dipped into EVERY sauce, one at a time, so we could try every flavor. The all-natural, white meat chicken tenders here come grilled or fried, in sandwiches, salads, or just on their own.

The prep process includes a brine of lemon juice, pickle brine, and buttermilk. It’s hard to stop from ordering way too many dishes. But you know—at Disney, calories don’t count!

Chase gave us a tip: For under $20, you could get a 5-piece pack of chicken tenders (fried or grilled) and ALL TWENTY-TWO SAUCES!
That sounds like a super fun, low-budget date night to me—Danny and I had a blast trying out every flavor. I really appreciated the chicken tenders as a light alternative on a hot day or after too much vacation indulgence when you want something a little lighter.

Best Sides at Chicken Guy

The Fried Pickle Chips were crunchy, salty, and honestly, a reason to stop in if you ever remotely like dill pickles.

The Chicken Guy! Fries are nicely seasoned and the perfect vehicle to eat more of those yummy sauces.

Loaded? We’re there. Photo by Stephanie Shuster

The Loaded Mac Daddy Mac ‘N’ Cheese was a shareable side (or just a meal in itself!) that is smothered in cheese sauce, bacon, green onion, and fried chicken.
We’ve dined here many times but we still found a few things new to us—that mac ‘n’ cheese is one dish we are already dreaming about getting again… there’s something about Guy’s SMC (that’s super melty cheese in Guy-speak) that makes the dish really sing!

Chicken Guy Sandwiches

Chicken Guy Disney Springs Sandwiches Review Shuster

Try ordering Chase’s secret combo! Photo by Stephanie Shuster

We also tried the Bourbon Brown Sugar BBQ sandwich which has pepper jack, bourbon brown sugar BBQ sauce, special sauce, slaw, pickles & BBQ kettle chips—this was my new fave, the flavors and texture were spot-on.

Chase made us “his” sandwich: The Sauce Boss sandwich comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and your choice of any two signature sauces—his picks are #8 Brown Sugar BBQ and #18 Nashville Hot Honey, which Danny really loved.
In general, I think the Sauce Boss sandwich is such a great idea because guests can really customize their favorite flavor combos. I want to try the peri peri with avocado crema next time.
We usually get tenders here, but the sandwiches were so good we’re looking forward to trying others too. And now that we’ve tried EVERY sauce, we found a couple of new faves: habanero hot sauce, avocado crema, garlic parmesan, and cumin lime mojo.

Shakes to Go

Before we were done we couldn’t resist taking a shake to go – I opted for the Florida Sunshine which was bright, citrusy, creamy, and refreshing.
Danny chose strawberry (he’s something of a strawberry shake connoisseur) and said it’s one of the best he’s ever had with a light yet creamy texture and lots of chunks of fresh berries.

You’ll Want to try Chicken Guy! if…

If you love chicken, this is a really great place to get your fix at Disney when you want something a little different than the normal kiddo’s chicken nuggets served at Disney World. It’s more grown-up but still family-friendly, and we love that you can opt for grilled items if you prefer.
It’s also really affordable, especially by theme park standards. We used to head to Earl of Sandwich for the best bang-for-your-buck meal on property, but Chicken Guy! gives it a run for its money. You can even earn points as part of their Sauce Squad.
Even if you’re not a meat eater, there are some stellar sides like Fried Pickle Chips, Mac Daddy Mac ‘N’ Cheese, and Chicken Guy Fries that are reason enough to stop in.

Where is Chicken Guy! at Disney Springs?

Chicken Guy! is located in the Town Center area of Disney Springs, and it’s easy to find on the bottom floor of the building that houses Planet Hollywood (that big starry dome you can spot from almost anywhere in Disney Springs!).

There are six Chicken Guy locations, with four more on the way. And good news if you’re in the Orlando area because they just opened a new location not far from WDW in Winter Park!
And PS: the Winter Park location serves BREAKFAST! Um….. hint, hint Chicken Guy!… I’d realllllllllly love breakfast at Disney Springs too!

Chicken Guy! hours at Disney Springs

Chicken Guy! Disney Springs is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, typically from 11:00 AM to10:30 PM or 11:00 PM, but hours vary so check the My Disney Experience app for the latest.
For this lunch, our creative director Danny joined me, and let’s just say we left FULL. And HAPPY.

Thanks to Chicken Guy! for inviting us out to see the new space and treating us to an excellent meal. Although we love free food as much as the next person, we’re not “chicken” to share our opinions – this review is our honest take!
