February is Black History Month, and Walt Disney World is paying tribute with the return of Celebrate Soulfully for 2022. The yearlong celebration of art, food, and culture makes its way back to WDW for the second year, giving guests even more to enjoy during an already packed time at the resort.
Celebrate Soulfully 2022 at Walt Disney World
There’s a lot to see, hear, do, and taste around Walt Disney World for Celebrate Soulfully 2022. Here’s a look at everything that’s on tap around the resort.
Celebrate Soulfully at Disney Springs
Throughout February, Disney Springs will host a talented roster of musicians and artists spanning genres including jazz, R&B, and Motown. Live performances will take place throughout the days, so keep your ears peeled and your dancing shoes at the ready.
Disney Springs will also be your destination for lots of great art and shopping. At Art of Disney, you can learn about animators like Floyd Norman and Carole Holliday and meet artist Timothy Adebule.
Bowes Signature Candles, owned by native of Jamaica Dave Bowes, will be offering discounts all month long. There will be special offerings and initiatives from brands like Sephora and Sephora as well as new products spotlighting Disney’s Black characters. And be sure to visit the House of Blues to see beautiful works from artists like Leroy Almon, Ruth Mae McCrane, and Richard Burnside.
As for food, there is a whole, whole lot to sink your teeth into. There’ll be special food and fare up for grabs at all the hot spots, including The Ganachery with its cool-looking Soulfully Sweet Pralines.
Of all the offerings, the Coffee Pot Gelato at Vivoli il Gelato sounds like one of the tastiest. It’s a unique gelato made with the Coffee Pot Bayou coffee stout from Green Bench Brewing Company, a Black-owned brewery out of Florida.
On top of everything else, there’s a mural by Bruce Smith, who created the new Disney+ series Proud Family – Louder and Prouder, which is prime for photo ops.
Celebrate Soulfully at Animal Kingdom
There’ll be even more sweet sounds at Animal Kingdom with the return of the Tam Tam Drummers of Harambe to the Mombasa Marketplace. While you’re at Mombasa Marketplace, be sure to browse the unique crafts of African artisans.
Animal Kingdom also plays host to A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King, a Broadway-style show featuring timeless songs and music from the beloved Disney classic.
You can also satisfy your hunger at Animal Kingdom with some limited-time snacks and sips inspired by Celebrate Soulfully.

Celebrate Soulfully at EPCOT
The American Adventure at EPCOT continues to host the popular exhibit The Soul of Jazz: An American Adventure, which traces the history and evolution of jazz in the United States.
At EPCOT’s Refreshment Outpost, you’ll be able to scoop up some unique fare. Up for grabs: A Nairobi Coffee Porter infused with rich, textured Kenyan coffee and an Eastern Africa-inspired plant-based bratwurst with turmeric aioli, Kuchumbari slaw, and coffee barbecue jackfruit.
As if that’s not enough, Fife & Drum is serving a Half Note Float that features layers of Fanta Strawberry, Minute Maid Lemonade, Fanta Blue Raspberry Slushy, and vanilla ice cream. You may notice this refreshing drink shares its name with the jazz club from Soul.
Celebrate Soulfully Coming to DLR for 2022
Good news as well if Disneyland Resort is your home park: Celebrate Soulfully is coming to DLR in 2022 as well. Whichever of these Disney Parks you frequent (or if you plan on doing both this month because why not), Celebrate Soulfully lifts up Black culture with a generous dusting of Disney magic.
