Planning to spend Halloween 2021 at the Disneyland Resort hotels? Here’s what you can expect.
Spooky season is upon us. And while over in Florida, the focus is all on the 50th anniversary (with just a dash of Boo Bash sprinkled in), in California, it’s Halloween, all day, every day.

But the Halloween magic isn’t limited to Disneyland, California Adventure, and Downtown Disney. The actual Disneyland hotels (Paradise Pier, Disneyland Hotel, and Grand Californian Hotel & Spa) have plenty of Halloween hijinks you won’t want to miss.

Whether or not you’re staying at Disney’s Grand Californian Resort & Spa, this hotel is worth a quick visit, if only to see the massive Oogie Boogie gingerbread sculpture.
To make this legendary confectionary masterpiece, the pastry shop used the following ingredients:
- 380 eggs
- 220 pounds of rice cereal
- 120 pounds of dark chocolate
- 80 pounds of white chocolate
- 260 pounds of powdered sugar
- 95 pounds of marshmallow
- 80 pounds of butter
- 480 pounds of fondant
Designing the masterpiece required 370 hours of planning and hard work.
Look sharp! Oogie Boogie has 13 hidden Mickeys. (13, eh? Spooky!)

If spotting this deliciously designed shrine to Oogie Boogie isn’t enough, you can hop over to Paradise Pier Hotel to spy Ursula, whose tentacles are taking over the lobby in a real Kraken taking on the Black Pearl kind of way. Over at the Disneyland Hotel, you can take in the beautiful (and frightening) Haunted Mansion stretching room art in the lobby.

Halloween at the Disneyland Resort Hotels means snacking on all kinds of goodies. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, for example, has Jack Skellington cookies, Oogie Boogie cupcakes, chocolate chip cookie shot glasses with milk, skull-faced cookies, Mickey-shaped monster cookies, and Mickey whoopie pies.
