If you’ve always wanted to own a piece of pop culture history, Disney’s Create 100 celebration is the perfect opportunity!
Beyoncé fans, you’re not going to want to miss this new partnership! The global superstar is joining the incredible lineup of artists and visionaries who are supporting Disney’s Create 100 event, a global celebration of creativity that’s honoring the 100th anniversary of Disney’s very own culturally-impactful storytelling.
How, exactly, will Beyoncé take part? She’s putting one of her most iconic looks up for auction: the catsuit she wore in the film Black is King.
Beyoncé’s catsuit will be one piece in a lineup of items included in Disney’s Create 100 from renowned creators, brands, and next-generation talent from 18 different countries. She joins a list of participants that includes adidas, Christian Louboutin, Maison Valentino, NIGO, Pandora, Sabyasachi, Mukherjee, Tommy Hilfiger, Vik Muniz, and Virgil Abloh Securities/ALASKA ALASKA.
In addition to these brands and creators, Kevin Feige from Marvel Studios, Jennifer Lee from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Jon Landau of Lightstorm Entertainment, and Pete Docter of Pixar Animation Studios will also donate items from their studios, stories, and movies that reflect special moments and memories for fans.
Every item within Disney’s Create 100 celebration is chosen based on the creators’ personal connection to Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and 20th Century Studios’ stories and characters.
Disney’s Create 100 celebration will kick off on October 12, 2023 – and this will be your opportunity to participate in the exciting event! On October 12, fans around the world will have the chance to bid on these incredible items (including that stunning catsuit Beyoncé wore!). The auction will take place across 18 countries until October 30, 2023.
All of the funds raised by the auction will be dedicated to Make-A-Wish. Additionally, to specially commemorate this unique initiative, Disney is also donating $1 million globally to Make-A-Wish. These funds will help support the organization’s ability to grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
