Here’s your round-up of April 2022 Disney World refurbishments for closed attractions and resorts.
If you’re planning on visiting Walt Disney World (WDW) to make the first month of the spring one of the best, you’ll want to know what isn’t going to be up and running during your trip.
But you won’t have to guess what’ll be open and temporarily closed in April! Each month, we compile a list of everything scheduled to undergo refurbishment in the month ahead.
You don’t have much to worry about in terms of refurbishments in April, so plan to make the most of your trip!
Walt Disney World Railroad: Vehicle testing is underway at the TRON Lightcycle / Run, and that means that WDW Railroad is closer to opening. This train should get back on track sometime this summer
The Chapeau: The Chapeau is likely to remain closed for the rest of 2022. In the meantime, Box Office Gifts at the Town Square Theater is the temporary go-to for mouse ears and Bonjour! Village Gifts has commemorative gifts and artwork.
Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain: Plans still call for Expedition Everest to re-open by the middle of the month. Get ready, Yetis!
There are no refurbishments scheduled at EPCOT in April. Don’t forget to spring in and check out the 2022 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival, which runs through July 7.
There are no refurbishments scheduled at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in April.
Blizzard Beach: Blizzard Beach is still on track to reopen sometime in mid-May.
WDW Resort Hotels
The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa: There’s light construction and refurbishment taking place during the day at The Villas that will lead to a grand expansion.
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort: Cozy Cone Pool will reopen sometime in April, but you can enjoy The Big Blue Pool and Flippin’ Fins Pool in the meantime.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village: The Samawati Springs Pool should reopen in April.
There are no refurbishments scheduled for WDW Transportation in April.

Rides close often for regular service and maintenance, so any unexpected closures will likely only last for a short while. If nothing else, it’s just another excuse to come back and experience the magic again.
