If you’re planning on visiting Walt Disney World (WDW) soon, then you definitely need to know which attractions and resorts might be down.

Well, you’ve come to the right place! Every month we compile a list of everything we know that’s either currently under refurbishment or is slated to close for refurb.

With that, let’s check out the current refurbishment schedule.

Walt Disney World Railroad: The Walt Disney World Railroad is currently closed through TBD, due to the construction of TRON Lightcycle Power Run.

The Hall of Presidents: The Liberty Square attraction is closed until further notice as Disney gets the next animatronic of President Joe Biden ready.

Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover: The PeopleMover has been closed for a long time. And, once again, the attraction’s closure has been extended. Instead of reopening on April 4, the Tomorrowland favorite is now slated to stay closed through April 30, 2021.

Main Street Confectionery: The beloved sweet shop closed for refurbishment on March 29. It’s unclear when it will reopen.

The Chapeau: The hat and ears shop connected to the Confectionery also closed on March 29 for refurbishment. A reopening date is unclear.

If you want a Disney treat, head to Main Street Cinema, which has temporarily turned into a treat shop. This means, you can now find art that’s typically sold at Main Street Cinema at Bonjour! Village Gifts right next to Gaston’s Tavern. For hats and ears, head to Box Office Gifts at the Town Square Theater.

The Paddock Pool will remain open and guests can also use the resort’s High Rocks Spring feature pool and waterslide and two leisure pools.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas — Kidani Village: The Samawati Springs Pool will be closed for refurbishment from January 2022 through April 2022.

Guests can use the Uzima Springs Pool at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Jambo House.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort: Guests rooms will be reimagined starting in April 2021. Some Main Tower rooms will be unavailable, but most resort areas and amenities will still be accessible.

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort: The Polynesian remains closed and will reopen in late July 2021 due to an extensive refurbishment, including a brand new entryway design, an updated Monorail station, “enhancements” to the gardens and fountains at the resort entrance, and new entryway lighting elements.

Have you seen the new Moana-inspired guest rooms at Polynesian? The resort is also now accepting bookings for late July 2021.
