Florida has been center stage for football events this month. Last week, the ProBowl was held in Orlando and this upcoming weekend Super Bowl LIV will be held in Miami.
Here at WDW Magazine, we say what better way to combine your love of football, and all other sports, along with your love of Disney than to stay at The All-Star Sports Resort? Whether you’re celebrating the Super Bowl, a cheerleading competition or a runDisney event, here are eight reasons why The All-Star Sports Resort scores high among the competition.
#1. Those Sweet All-Star Sports Resort Prices
A stay at All-Star Sports Resort includes all of the Walt Disney World Resort extras: FastPass+, Extra Magic Hours, and magical Disney transportation to the parks—at a budget price. Stays at the All-Star Sports Resort start at $99 per night!
To book, contact our friends at Destinations to Travel. Their services are free and they will find you the best deal on your next Walt Disney World Vacation!
#2 Championship Photo Opportunities
The entire resort is filled with excellent spots to show off your hard-earned medals and trophies. Pose in front of the giant football helmets, oversized basketballs, larger-than-life surfboards, or my personal favorite, the Mickey winner’s podium.
#3 Casual Sports for All
Not the next Micheal Jordan? No worries! Located around the baseball diamond pool is a grassy area with lawn games for everyone to play. Warm up with some corn hole or giant Connect Four. If you’re feeling extra competitive, try your luck out at badminton.
#4 Indoor Competition
Are sports really not your thing? Or is it raining because it’s Florida and that’s what happens? Located inside the main building fans will find a giant arcade room with over twenty games to choose from, including air hockey, Guitar Hero and Skee-Ball.
#5 End Zone Food Court
Athletes need to fuel up before the big game and the End Zone Food Court is the place to do it. Salads, burgers and chicken sandwiches are a staple, but if you’re looking to celebrate your victory try the edible cookie dough, which is a rare find on Disney property.
#6 Grandstand Spirits
For all the cheering fans, stay hydrated at the Grandstand Spirits bar near the Surfboard Bay Pool. Choose from an array of adult beverages to keep your spirits high as you watch the big game, including the Sunshine Margarita: Lunazul Reposado Tequila, Cointreau and Sweet-and-Sour with Orange and Lime Juice. Yum!
#7 Arenas for the Pee Wee League
A play area for children 12 and under is located between the Tennis and Surf-themed buildings. This is a prime location for parents to wear out their young players if they’re still running around after a magical day.
#8 Football Field for All
A combination of a football field and a playbook, this turfgrass area is perfect for all sports fans to warm up, run around and start a game or two of their own. Field goals bookend the field so young kickers can test their skill and those who just want to have fun can challenge themselves to get the ball right through the center of the goals.
#9 Winning Teammates (aka Cast Members)
No Disney team would be complete without its Cast Members. The All-Star Sports Cast Members exude friendliness and energy. They’ll greet you from the moment you step into their home arena and interact with you in the spirit of good sportsmanship and beyond.
No matter if you’re visiting Disney for a sports event, or just want to relish in your love of sports while you’re on vacation, The All-Star Sports Resort has it all. It is the perfect blend of Disney and sports and will make you feel like the star of your team as you achieve your Disney dreams every day.
