This week, Alaska Airlines debuted a new Disneyland-themed plane, the ‘Mickey’s Toontown Express.’
The anticipation and excitement of heading to Disney World or Disneyland can make any trip there “magical” in its own way. But, if you’re traveling on Alaska Airlines, the Disney magic really starts early. That’s because the airline features a fleet of specially-themed planes that feature Disney characters on the exterior. Currently, Alaska Airlines’ Disneyland Resort-themed liveries include “Friendship and Beyond at the Disneyland Resort” themed after Toy Story, as well as “Star Wars Transport to the Disneyland Resort,” featuring the Millennium Falcon on the tail chased by TIE fighters. And this week, Alaska Airlines introduced a brand new Disneyland Resort-themed plane to its fleet.
Alaska Airlines’ Disneyland-Themed ‘Mickey’s Toontown Express’
This week, Alaska Airlines celebrated its inaugural flight for the new “Mickey’s Toontown Express” plane. The specially-themed plane had its gate ceremony in Seattle on October 31st, where passengers boarded the inaugural flight to Orange County, California to visit Disneyland Resort.

The new plane features images of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse with pals Goofy, Pluto, Donald Duck, and Daisy Duck in Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland Park. The Boeing 737-800 is Alaska Airlines’ eighth livery in collaboration with Disneyland Resort. The impressive design took artists over 400 hours and 20 days to hand-paint the exterior from nose to tail.
For the first flight, Alaska Airlines sent several families and special guests to experience the ride from Seattle to Orange County. The “Mickey’s Toontown Express” plane will offer activity books and snack packs onboard with designs that feature Mickey Mouse and his pals, while supplies last. This is in addition to Alaska Airline’s priority boarding for families with children under two, family seating at no additional charge, coloring books, and the Kids’ Choice Picnic Pack and Jetsetter’s Jam Sandwich for guests flying in our Premium and Main Cabins.
Those looking to fly on this exciting new Disney-themed plane will be able to fly “Mickey’s Toontown Express” for the next several years before it reaches the end of its normal rotation. You can book your trip now on the Alaska Airlines website.
