Disney World’s airport luggage transfer pilot program has expanded once again, with Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort now joining the list of participating hotels. Here’s where the service is available and how it works.
Disney World Guests staying at another Resort can now take advantage of the airport luggage transfer service.
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort has officially joined the list of hotels participating in Airport Luggage Transfer at Disney, a pilot program provided by BagCheck. The addition is notable because Caribbean Beach is the first Moderate Resort to offer the service, which had previously been limited to Disney’s Value Resorts.
The service allows eligible Guests flying through Orlando International Airport (MCO) to transfer their checked luggage between the airport and their Disney Resort hotel, making both arrival and departure days a little easier.

Disney began testing airport luggage transfer at select Resort hotels as a way to simplify the travel experience for Guests flying through Orlando International Airport.

The service has expanded since its initial rollout and can currently be used for both arrivals and departures. Guests flying into Orlando can arrange for their checked bags to be delivered to their Disney Resort, allowing them to skip baggage claim. On departure day, Guests can leave their luggage with Bell Services or Luggage Assistance and pick it up at baggage claim at their final destination.
The pilot is provided by BagCheck and is currently available to Guests flying domestically on:
- American Airlines
- Southwest Airlines
- United Airlines
Disney notes that additional participating airlines could be added in the future.
Participating Disney World Resort Hotels
With the latest addition of Caribbean Beach Resort, Airport Luggage Transfer at Disney is now available at six Disney Resort hotels:
- Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
- Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
- Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
- Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
- Disney’s Pop Century Resort
Previously, all participating hotels were in Disney’s Value Resort category, making Caribbean Beach the first Moderate Resort to be included in the pilot.
How It Works When Arriving at Disney World
If you’re staying at a participating Resort and flying on an eligible airline, you can arrange to have your luggage sent from Orlando International Airport directly to your Disney Resort hotel.
You’ll need to register for Airport Luggage Transfer between 30 days and 24 hours before your flight to Orlando. Have your Disney Resort confirmation number and airline confirmation number available when registering.
If you register more than seven days before your flight, you’ll receive luggage tags in the mail. If you register fewer than seven days beforehand, you won’t receive physical tags, but your bags can still be transferred and tracked.
On your travel day, check in for your flight and pay any applicable baggage fees as usual. Once you arrive at Orlando International Airport, you can skip baggage claim and head directly to Walt Disney World.
Disney recommends allowing up to four hours from your flight’s arrival time for your luggage to reach your Resort. You can pick it up from Bell Services or Luggage Assistance or request delivery to your room using your in-room phone. Gratuities are not included.
How It Works When Leaving Disney World
You can also use the service to send your luggage ahead to Orlando International Airport on your departure day.
Check in for your flight online starting 24 hours before departure and pay any applicable checked baggage fees. Your luggage must be delivered to Bell Services or Luggage Assistance between 24 hours and four hours before your flight’s departure time.
You’ll need to show a valid government-issued photo ID and your boarding pass when dropping off your luggage.
From there, you can head to the airport without your checked bags, skip the airline check-in line, and pick up your luggage at baggage claim once you reach your final destination.
A Few Things to Know Before Using the Service
Airport Luggage Transfer at Disney can be used for your arrival, departure, or both, so you don’t have to use the service for your entire round trip.
For arrivals, Guests can track their luggage using the link provided in their confirmation email. When heading home, luggage can be tracked through the airline’s mobile app.
Disney also recommends keeping medications, electronics, important documents, and perishable or heat-sensitive items in your carry-on rather than your transferred luggage.
The service is currently available only for domestic flights, and standard airline baggage restrictions and fees still apply.
For now, Caribbean Beach is the only Moderate Resort included in the pilot. We’ll be keeping an eye out to see whether Disney expands Airport Luggage Transfer to even more Resort hotels in the future.
