Adventures by Disney brings the magic you know and love from a Disney Parks vacation and allows you to explore the world.
In 2024, Adventures by Disney is introducing an all-new Expedition Cruise on the Adriatic Sea. This area is known for its picturesque waterways with amazing cuisine which will provide the perfect backdrop for a magical vacation.
What are the details of this brand-new itinerary and why should you consider this for your next trip?

This all-new voyage is scheduled to launch in 2024 with two sailings set for June 25 and July 2. These will be eight-day, seven-night round-trip sailings from Venice, Italy, and visiting a whopping seven ports in Croatia and Montenegro. Guests will be able to book their adventure on October 27.
Families embarking on Adriatic Sea adventures will get to experience an expedition cruise on the PONANT ship Le Bougainville, which is a small, intimate ship. Why is a smaller vessel used? It allows guests to visit more remote ports that larger vessels cannot.

Guests will be immersed in the culture and stories of the Adriatic Coastline. They will get to experience carefully curated excursions daily, thanks to the travel experts at Disney. Plus, up to six Adventure Guides will lead activities both onboard and ashore.
What can you expect onshore? Experiences will include:
- Stopping on the islands along the Adriatic Coast including Korcula and Pakleni
- Enjoying food, Croatian wine, architecture, and culture of the region
- Biking through vineyards and lavender fields of the UNESCO Stari Grad Plain
- Tasting delicacies like Dalmatian Prosciutto
- Visiting Boka Bay in Montenegro by catamaran or strolling along the cobblestone streets of Old Town Kotor
- Exploring medieval Croatian port towns and Predjama Castle in Slovenia
- Uncovering the underground labyrinth at Slovenia’s Postojna Cave and the “dragons” that inhabit it
- Learn about the methods of pressing olive oil, which is a time-honored Croatian tradition
The magic will continue onboard with themed karaoke nights, trivia, talent shows, and more. Plus, there will be activities specifically for adults, such as cocktail workshops, and adventurers under 12 years old, like a “Pirates of the Adriatic” swim party.

2024 will also welcome opportunities for guests to explore Antarctica, the Arctic, and the Galápagos Islands.
- Guests can sail aboard an Antarctica and Patagonia Expedition Cruise, where wildlife takes the stage. Whales and seals are just some of the animals that will be on display during this voyage highlighting Antarctica and Argentina’s Patagonia Region. Dates for this sailing are Dec. 17-28, 2023, and Feb. 17-28, 2024.
- Another unique experience is an Arctic Expedition Cruise, where the scenery and landscapes reign supreme. Guests will experience fjords, glaciers, polar bears, and reindeer while visiting the Arctic waters and Svalbard. This sailing is only available July 1-10, 2024.
- Island hopping defines the Galápagos Islands Expedition Cruise, where guests will learn about ecosystems and species endemic to the Galapagos Archipelago. Dates for this sailing include March 17-25, June 9-17, July 14- 22, Aug. 7-15 and Dec. 18-26, 2024.
