Adventureland Treehouse is now officially open for guests at Disneyland Resort. The updated attraction was re-themed to Disney’s Swiss Family Robinson film.
Last year, Disney shared that the previous Tarzan’s Treehouse would be getting an update to become Adventureland Treehouse. The attraction has been updated back ot its original design, that of Walt Disney’s Swiss Family Robinson. And now, the newly updated attraction is open to guests!
Adventureland Treehouse First Look
Themed after the 1962 film Swiss Family Robinson, Adventureland Treehouse pays tribute to the original treehouse that had been featured at Disneyland Resort (and can still be found at Disney World). Adventureland Treehouse’s storyline is that the “family fashioned an oasis among the trees inspired by nature and using objects found around them. Here, they can collaborate together while also pursuing their own individual skills, talents, passions, and interests.”
The treehouse includes the mother’s music den, filled with instruments for the mother to play, such as a massive organ. Look out for plenty of other instruments throughout, like a set of drums, and a tuba.
The twin sons have a room inspired by nature, with lots of animal theming. Over in the daughter’s, she has set up an intricate astronomer’s loft which allows her to look out at the stars each night.
The father has an art studio, where you can enjoy various paintings that he has done while overlooking the beautiful atmosphere where they’ve built their treehouse.
Near the stairwell, you’ll see the iconic waterwheel, which is powered by a nearby brook. The family created a pulley system that delivers the water high up into the tree, which generates the energy needed to activate all their work and inventions.
