Add Magic to Your House With Disney Home Decor

by | Mar 31, 2020 | WDW Blog

So Disney is closed—but you still want some magic in your daily life? Me too! Luckily, there are so many Disney home decor items out there to help sprinkle some extra pixie dust around your house.

Like many people right now, I have been spending a lot of time inside and at my desk. Because I am spending so much time in the same space every day I am trying to find ways to refresh my Feng Shui.

Here are some of my favorite Disney home decor pieces that will help you add some magic to your home!

For Your Office Space

I think mousepads are so underrated. Thanks to shopDisney you can add a customizable mousepad to your desk!

You can make your mousepad a one-of-a-kind by having your name printed on it, or an inspirational quote of your choosing!

I have always had this idea that my office space isn’t complete without a plant… but I always kill my succulents! I know they’re the easiest plant to take care of– but somehow I have to throw one away every few weeks. So, the next best option is a fake plant!

Even better? Include Mickey Mouse in your planter!

The perfect way to increase a positive energy around your work space is to add a plant (even if it’s fake). Add some Mickey and some greenery to your desk with this maintenance free Mickey desk succulent.

For your Bathroom

I never expected to see so many hand washing tutorials in 2020, but here we are. It seems like I am constantly scrolling through a sea of Facebook posts about how to wash your hands!

The H20+ products that are used across the Disney resorts are phenomenal. The scent of these products always bring me back to the times when I was in the hotel right about to leave for a Disney day, or coming back from one!

For only $3.99 you can buy the soap that is left in your Disney resort rooms and have it delivered right to your door!

Speaking of hotels, we aren’t going to be able to check-in to the Hollywood Tower Hotel for a while, but the good news is you can lounge around in themed merch while you wait!

I like that this bath robe looks exactly like the robes that are in the deluxe Disney resorts, except instead of the embroidery reading “The Grand Floridian” it has the logo for the Hollywood Tower Hotel!

There are so many products on shopDisney that can be customized! I am a big fan of the feature because I have a name that isn’t commonly seen on pens sold in souvenir gift shops. This allows me to finally have something that has my name on it– with the correct spelling!

With warmer weather just around the corner, a custom Mickey towel would be perfect for your future beach or picnic plans!

For your Bed

I know that these next two products are for kids. They are quite literally being sold in a kid’s store– but I will admit that I have both the princess sheets and the pillow! These were released by Pottery Barn Kids a few years back, and I instantly needed them.

The Disney Princess Bed Sheets are as comfortable as they are cute! The Disney Princess Pillow is just a nice touch to my room decor, and it reminds me to make my bed in the morning.

If those patterns don’t fit your bedroom scheme very well I was able to find Mickey pillow cases that are a little more subtle!

For your Kitchen

Start your mornings the right way with Mickey waffles! Mickey waffles are a must have for me and my family when we go to Disney and now you can bring those waffles to your own kitchen.

You can buy your very own Mickey waffle maker for $75 on shopDisney! What a great find!

Right now I know a lot of us are lounging around in our pajamas, but it doesn’t mean we want to get them dirty!

This Minnie Mouse apron is the perfect way to feel like you’re getting dressed up while also preventing your pjs from ending up in the wash prematurely.

So you’ve tied on your Minnie apron, you’ve cooked up some Mickey waffles– but oh no! You don’t have anything to put them on.

You can stick with the mouse theming by serving your waffles on Minnie and Mickey plates. I am not a morning person, but I’m starting to think I could be with all of these items!

You’ve just finished your Mickey waffles and need something to clean up with?

Guess what! I found the next piece to this puzzle. Check out the Mickey and Minnie Mouse Pot Holder and Kitchen Towel Set for the perfect way to complete your Disney kitchen theming!

Whether it’s big or small, in these uncertain times I have been able to find normalcy and routine through Disney!

Thankfully, shopDisney is still shipping out orders, so it isn’t too late to start adding joy to your home with some new Disney home decor.
