On Sale Now- The Pirates of the Caribbean Attraction Special from WDW Magazine!

It’s easier than you think to have a magically romantic dinner at Disney World. Here are some of our favorites for when it’s just the two of you.

While there’s no question that the Walt Disney World Company designed its eateries to fit their legions of guests, it’s also no secret that some of those restaurants lend themselves to romance more than others.

While you probably won’t get a romantic dining experience at Casey’s Corner (hey, no judgment, their hot dogs are superb!), you can find some places to eat across Disney Property that will make you glad you don’t happen to have the kids along this trip. In no particular order, here are some of the most romantic dinner spots at Disney World.

Please note: COVID-19 protocols continue to impact park operations. Some of these restaurants were not open at the time of writing, and operations at all seven of our featured restaurants for a romantic dinner at Disney World could continue to be impacted as the pandemic continues.

Time and time again, people head to Capa Steakhouse at the Four Seasons for anniversary dinners and other romantic occasions. This AAA Four Diamond Spanish-themed restaurant boasts fantastic views, one-of-a-kind decor (yes, those are matador jackets), and juicy steaks.

They also have a raw bar, tapas and small plates—and it’s an ideal setting for sharing plates. What’s more romantic than that?

Jiko – The Cooking Place

In Swahili, “jiko” means “stove,” and there’s no mistaking that Jiko – The Cooking Place is serious about its cuisine. The menu changes with the seasons, but the intimate feel of this fine dining restaurant doesn’t.

Share a bottle of South African red wine as the lights morph from warm golds to oranges to red and back again. After dinner, enjoy a cocktail in the intimate space at Victoria Falls. Arrive early for your reservation? Spend some time strolling the grounds of the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Spice Road Table

In the midst of EPCOT, nestled against World Showcase Lagoon, Spice Road Table is unexpectedly cozy.

You might not think so, given the popularity of pretty much every restaurant at EPCOT, no matter the time of year, but indeed, get a table for two, order some small plates (may we suggest the Spice Road Table Sampler and the Pomegranate-Chili Crispy Cauliflower?), and sip a Moroccan Mule.

And hey, don’t be afraid to scoot your chairs closer together for a better view of the water. After all, it’s date night.

San Angel Inn Restaurante

Also in EPCOT, Mexico’s San Angel Inn Restaurante oozes romance. The moody blue sky with an active volcano and Mayan Temple in the distance, the gorgeous blue wine glasses …

No matter how crowded or hot it may be outside the San Angel, everything eases away once you’re seated across from one another, napkins in laps, sipping a margarita and waiting for your Pescado A La Veracruzana (snapper with a lime-cilantro finish.) Share a Dulce de Papaya for dessert.

Narcoossee’s

Seafood lovers, rejoice! With oysters, crab, lobster and a cornucopia of seafood on the menu, Narcoosee’s is for lovers—and seafood lovers!

Maximize the wow factor of this Grand Floridian restaurant with a window seat. Gaze out over the Seven Seas Lagoon toward the castle, then tear yourself away from the nighttime spectacular (they pipe in the music for the fireworks display, so you get the full experience, sans crowds) to gaze into each other’s eyes.

The surf and turf is delish, but leave room for dessert—especially the banana cream tart! Don’t love seafood but the one you love does? Fear not; they have pork and steak offerings, too.

Jaleo by José Andrés

Chef Andrés has two Michelin stars, earned the Humanitarian of the Year award from the James Beard Foundation, and has brought his mad skill and talent to Disney Springs. Why is this romantic? Well, we can’t speak for Chef Andrés’ love life, but we can tell you that sharing any of the small plates (try the Five Quesos!) while giggling over what the Walt Disney World Resort describes accurately as “whimsy” (the whole restaurant drips with the stuff) somehow makes you feel like you’re on a first date.

California Grill

A private elevator ride to a penthouse restaurant overlooking Seven Seas Lagoon? Swoon-worthy. Like Narcoosees, Cali Grill offers magnificent views of the fireworks with the music piped in to the restaurant. For a limited time, the menu is a 50th Anniversary Celebration Menu, but no matter the menu, the whole experience is date-worthy.

Romantic Dinner at Disney World: Fine Dining Awaits

This list of the best spots for romantic Disney World dinners, of course, is by no means exhaustive. There is so much dining to be done at Disney World that even most DVC members and Orlando-based Annual Passholders likely haven’t tried them all.

Wherever you plan to dine, don’t forget to take advantage of Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs). Need a refresher on ADRs? Check out our collectible planning issue of WDW Magazine with our fan-favorite ABCs of ADRs article. You can also count on a Disney Travel Agent to help you with dining reservations.
