Disney’s Riviera Resort is the newest addition to the fabulous collection of on-property resorts at WDW in Florida.  With it’s bright and elegant decor, European charm, convenient Skyliner access, and incredible food options the Riviera has tons to offer guests.  I had the pleasure of staying at the Riviera recently and was particularly impressed by the food and wanted to share my top 5 fabulous foodie finds with you!

Le Petit Cafe

You’ll find this gem right in the main lobby of the Disney’s Riviera Resort.  Open at 6 AM, the baristas here are ready to get you going with a selection of coffee and pastries to start your day.  Enjoy an expertly made espresso beverage and delightful French pastries throughout the day or come by later in the afternoon or evening for a cocktail and some charcuterie.

This cafe feels like it was plucked from a quaint Parisian side street and transported directly to your lobby. Make sure to try the Espresso Viennese (espresso, house-made whipped cream, a dusting of clove, cinnamon, and allspice) for a unique and delicious coffee to perk you up in the morning!

Primo Piatto

All Disney resorts include a Quick-Service dining option. but Primo Piatto really plusses the experience.  One of the key differences here is that unlike other Quick-Service restaurants, you order and pay for your meal first and then the food gets delivered to your table.  No more standing in line to pay while your food gets cold. The open concept kitchen, direct to table service, and quality of the menu makes this feel much closer to a Table-Service experience but at Quick-Service prices!

I loved the Spicy Italian Sandwich (sliced capicola, salami, ham, provolone, and vegetable giardiniera with a garlic-mayonnaise served with a choice of side). The bread was fresh, deli meats were excellent and the house-made giardiniera was fresh, crunchy, and full of flavor.  Also, definitely pick the fries as your side, these fires are taken to the next level with a dusting of herbs and freshly grated parmesan cheese!

Bar Riva

Located across the walkway from the main pool this indoor/outdoor seating bar is the perfect place to sip a cocktail or enjoy a light lunch.  The food menu is a paired down selection of the offerings at Primo Piatto but still has plenty to choose from.

The drink menu has everything you could want, including signature cocktails, frozen beverages, sangria, and more!  I loved that the drinks can be taken to go so you can sip your cocktail while strolling along the gorgeous waterfront at the Riviera Resort!

Topolino’s Terrace

On the top floor of the east tower, there is a real treat waiting for guests at Topolino’s Terrace.  This Table-Service restaurant is a wonderful dining experience and features incredible rooftop views—perfect for watching the nighttime fireworks at EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The menu is equal parts French and Italian and offers amazing fresh pasta, lovely seafood, and delectable roasted meat entrees. There is also a top-notch selection of cheeses and a fantastic bread service!  I strongly recommend you make an ADR for Topolino’s, the food is phenomenal, the restaurant and views are gorgeous and the experience is relaxed and fun while maintaining a certain European elegance.

Breakfast a la Art

Topolino’s Terrace transforms from an elegant dinner restaurant to a captivating breakfast experience with Breakfast a La Art.  This prix fixe menu is a delicious start to your day and is made even more magical with exclusive character greetings! Your favorite Disney pals have developed a passion for the arts, and this is your chance to meet them all.

There’s painter Mickey Mouse, poet Minnie Mouse, sculptor Donald Duck, and dancer Daisy Duck. These outfits are just too cute! You can also grab a plushie of your favorite character to take home! Breakfast includes a delicious “basket” (a sculpted paint bucket) of shared pastries and then your choice of entree.

I strongly recommend the Spiced Sausage Hash (poached hen egg, English muffin, potatoes, pearl onions, choron sauce, fines herbes) with its creamy potatoes and just the right amount of heat sausage hash. The Quiche Gruyère (house-made pancetta, roasted potatoes, field greens, lemon vinaigrette) was another standout dish.

Full of flavor, filling and satisfying without being too heavy. There’s also plenty of POG juice, Mickey’s Favorite, and lots of fun character interactions. Bonus—hang onto your breakfast receipt because you can return later in the evening and enjoy the fireworks out on the terrace!

Thanks to Disney for hosting us on a 3-night Resort Showcase where we got to tour and experience many of Walt Disney World’s resorts and restaurants, including both breakfast and dinner at Topolino’s Terrace.  Purchases made at Le Petit Cafe, Bar Riva, and Primo Piatto were at our own cost. #wdwresorts #deliciousdisney
