In honor of Star Wars Day (May 4th), Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is launching four new Star Wars photo ops through the Disney PhotoPass Service.
“May the Force be with you” is a movie line so iconic that it’s inspired an unofficial holiday: Star Wars Day on May 4th. (We’re still waiting for the Galactic Senate Congress to declare it a national holiday.)
To celebrate Star Wars Day in 2022, Disney World is introducing four special Disney PhotoPass photo ops throughout Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
And because not everyone can hop in a starship and blast off several parsecs to Batuu on a moment’s notice, Disney will keep these new Star Wars photo spots around even after the celebration ends—though we don’t know how permanent they’ll be.
Hunting down all the Star Wars photo ops on May 4th? Here are the new Magic Shots to ask your Disney PhotoPass Image Scanners (photographers) for when visiting:
Holding a Holopuck

This special Magic Shot places a holopuck (also known as a holographic puck or a bounty puck) directly in your hands. Fans of The Mandalorian will recognize this device that communicates details of a bounty to bounty hunters.
Boba Fett’s Ship
If you can withstand the relentless fire raining down from overhead, you can pose for a special Magic Shot that places Boba Fett’s ship above you in the sky.

Head to the Droid Depot and find a nearby photographer to capture this special Star Wars photo at Disney World.
Lightsaber Magic
Even if you don’t head to Savi’s Workshop to build your own lightsaber, you can still get a photo holding a lightsaber on Batuu.

Just find a PhotoPass photographer across from Oga’s Cantina after sunset, and you’ll be able to recreate this photo with Mace Windu’s purple lightsaber.
Training Droid

Finally, Disney is introducing a new Star Wars Magic Shot that includes a floating training droid shooting blaster bolts your way. If you’re a true Jedi Master, you’ll be able to deflect the blasts with your own lightsaber.
More Star Wars Photo Ops at Disney World
These four photo ops might be new for Star Wars Day 2022, but Disney’s Hollywood Studios is known for plenty more great Star Wars Magic Shot photos. You can encounter some of your favorite characters with Magic Shots and get a special Super Zoom Magic Shot from far, far away.

My favorite is the special Tiny World Magic Shot with an AT-AT in the background (it’s near Star Tours).

If you purchase Genie+ for the day and head over to Galaxy’s Edge, you can even interact with Grogu.
