2024 Disney World bookings will be opening soon! Vacation packages will go on sale for 2024 dates starting late this month — and there are a lot of changes coming!
We have a lot of changes coming to Disney World in 2024! Starting on January 9th, 2024, Disney will introduce “good-to-go” days for Annual Passholders and Cast Members, select dates where Park Pass reservations will not be required for both groups. Additionally, date-based tickets will no longer require Park Pass reservations starting on that date, plus the Disney Dining Plan will be available when you purchase a vacation package for dates starting on January 9th. So, when will you be able to book these 2024 Disney World vacations?

2024 Disney World Bookings Open Later This Month
2024 Disney World vacation bookings will open on May 31st, 2023. Starting then, you can book your 2024 dates for Disney World hotel stays, tickets, and packages. So, what are the changes you’ll want to know?
Disney Dining Plan Returning

Disney has shared that the Disney Dining Plan will be an option for those staying at Disney World Resort hotels that purchase a vacation package for stays starting January 9th, 2024. Packages will include either the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan or the Disney Dining Plan. These packages will open for booking on May 31st, 2023.
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, several options of the Disney Dining Plan were available to purchase as an add-on to any Walt Disney World vacation purchased through Disney. But, when the parks reopened, the Dining Plan never returned. While Disney has teased that it would be coming back, we hadn’t been given any confirmed information — until now!
“Good-to-Go” Days for Annual Passholders and Cast Members

Another change for 2024 will be the introduction of “good-to-go” days for Annual Passholders and Cast Members. These will be select days that Passholders and Disney Cast Members will be able to go to the theme parks without needing a Park Pass reservation. Once introduced, these days will be rolled out on an ongoing basis.
This will be in addition to the current Passholder requirements, which allow Passholders to visit any theme park without a Park Pass reservation after 2 PM (except on Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom). “Good-to-go” days will vary by park, and block out dates for your pass will still apply..
Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours to Continue
Along with Park Pass reservation changes, Disney has also shared that Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours will continue in 2024. Early Theme Park Entry is available to any guest at a Disney World Resort hotel, allowing guests to enter any Disney World theme park 30 minutes prior to opening. Extended Evening Hours is available for guests at Disney World Deluxe Resort hotels or Deluxe Villas, allowing them to stay in the parks an extra two hours after closing on select dates (you can check out the list of dates and availability here).
Changes Coming to Genie+

While Disney has not shared many details, they did share that they are hoping to simplify the Disney Genie+ experience. Specifically, they stated, “We have heard from guests that they would like ways to plan with Disney Genie+ service and individual Lightning Lane selections before the day of their park visit, and we want you to know we are working on ways guests may do this for visits in 2024.” More details will be released at a later date, so stay tuned!
