If you’re participating in the 2023 runDisney Virtual Series, Disney has just revealed that the theme will be Disney100! Along with the theme, we have our first look at the 100th anniversary-inspired medals for the event.
Registration for the 2023 runDisney Virtual Series is coming up soon! The virtual series event takes place from June 1 to August 31, 2023, giving runners a chance to participate in three different races from the comfort of home. Registration opens on April 25, 2023, and ahead of that, we have our first look at the theming and medals for participants.

2023 runDisney Virtual Series Theme and Medals
The theme for this year’s virtual series is inspired by Disney100, featuring Mickey through the years! Each of the races is themed to a different Mickey, with the medals representing each.

Runners can sign up for the Steamboat Willie 5K, giving them the opportunity to earn the Disney100 medal featuring the 1928 classic character.

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice 5K pays tribute to Sorcerer Mickey, Mickey Mouse’s famous role in Fantasia.

Thr Runaway Railway 5K zooms right along in time, taking inspiration from Mickey Mouse’s starring role in the ride from Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disneyland Resort.

Finally, if you complete all three 5K events and complete the Disney 100 Challenge, you can earn the finisher medal that features both Mickey and Minnie in their platinum 100th anniversary outfits!
Registration and Dates
General registration opens at 10 AM EST on April 25, 2023. Each of the 5K events is $48 per person, or $160 for the Disney 100 challenge. Each participant will earn a finisher medal (or all four if you compete in the Disney 100 challenge), a digital bib and finisher ticket, a digital race tool kit with printable mile markers, and a runDisney Virtual Series keepsake.
