Press photos are one thing, but honest reviews and on-site photos are better! Here are photos of what we were served and our candid thoughts on this year’s selections.
Beef Tenderloin Tips Review

Beef Tenderloin Tips. Photo by Tatjana Lazar
- Beef Tenderloin Tips; $6.75
- With Mushroom Bordelaise Sauce and Whipped Potatoes with Garden Vegetables
WDW Magazine Communications Director, Tatjana Lazar: “The beef was tender and the dish was quite flavorful overall. I also liked how smooth and creamy the mashed potato was. However, if you’re a fan of the tenderloin served in Canada during the Food & Wine Festival, that one definitely still wins for tenderness and overall flavor punch.”
Seared Scallops Review

- Seared Scallops (Gluten/Wheat Friendly); $7.00
- With French Green Beans, Butter Potatoes, Brown Butter Vinaigrette and Apple-wood-smoked Bacon
WDW Magazine Managing Editor, Rain Blanken: “So… much.. vinegar. I am a lover of scallops, but this one was too much vinaigrette. That said, my husband loves a vinegar taste and thought these were great. The scallop was done well, very soft. I did enjoy the vegetables, which seemed to better complement that vinegar taste.”
Griddled Maple Pound Cake Review

- Griddled Maple Pound Cake; $4.75
- With Warm Peach Compote and Sweet Corn Gelato
WDW Magazine Managing Editor, Rain Blanken: “The cake was moist, and the popcorn was not soggy, despite sitting right on that delicious sweet corn gelato. Everything in this dessert is good on its own, and together. Not too sweet, tastes fresh, and the maple taste gives it another dimension. This is one of my favorite desserts at the Flower and Garden Festival.”
Maple Popcorn Shake Review

- Maple Popcorn Shake (Non-Alcoholic); $4.75
WDW Magazine Managing Editor, Rain Blanken: “This shake reminds me of eggnog—not in taste, but the milky texture and festive attitude. The maple popcorn put some fun crunch into some of the sips. It’s also not too much shake to weigh you down at a theme park.”
