China Booth Reviews
Press photos are one thing, but honest reviews and on-site photos are better! Here are photos of what we were served and our candid thoughts on this year’s selections.
Papa Cakes Review

- [NEW] Papa Cakes; $7.95
- Potato Cakes filled with Shrimp and Water Chestnuts served with House-made Strawberry Sauce
WDW Magazine Reporter, Julie de la Fe: “I actually enjoyed these way more than I expected considering I’m not a big fan of water chestnuts. The potato is the dominant flavor but the shrimp and water chestnut blended nicely. I thought the strawberry sauce was an interesting choice however it paired better than I thought and added a welcomed sweetness. “
Bon Bon Chicken Skewer Review

- Bon Bon Chicken Skewer; $6.75
- With Sesame and Peanut Sauce
WDW Magazine Reporter, Julie de la Fe: “This perfectly cooked chicken is near the top of my festival list! The slightly spicy blend of sesame and peanut sauces made my tastebuds come alive. I would definitely get this one again!”
Tang Dynasty Review

- [NEW] Tang Dynasty; $13.00
- Jose Cuervo Especial Tequila Gold, Light Rum, Strawberry Syrup, Piña Colada Mix, White Boba Pearls, and Soda Water
WDW Magazine Reporter, Julie de la Fe: “This is one dangerous drink. It is a punch with tequila and light rum. But the alcohol flavor is covered by the strawberry syrup and pina colada mix. Be sure to stir your drink and grab a small straw if you don’t want to suck up a lot of boba. Honestly, this complimented the food well and was very refreshing—another one that I would get again.”
Bubble Tea Review

- “Panda” Bubble Tea (Non-Alcoholic); $7.50
- Classic Milk Tea with Black and White Boba Pearls
WDW Magazine Managing Editor, Rain Blanken: “If you think a milk drink can’t be refreshing, this one could change your mind. The tea and milk combo was a good ratio to keep it from being too thick in texture. A fresh taste in the latte was complemented by more than enough boba pearls at the bottom. These are the chewy tapioca type of pearls, so be advised.”
