Kalua Pork Slider Review

- Kālua Pork Slider; $5.75
- Served with Sweet-and-Sour Dole Pineapple Chutney and Spicy Mayonnaise
Managing Editor, Timothy Moore: “This is the best of the booth as far as I’m concerned. The pork is tender and juicy. The savory taste pairs well with the pineapple. And that spicy mayo? It’s the bee’s knees.”
Editorial Director, Rain Blanken: “Keep scrolling for the best of the booth as far as I’m concerned (it’s the poke), but I will concede that this was a really good slider. It offered equal parts pork and pineapple. Can a slider be shareable? This one can.”
Teriyaki-Glazed SPAM Hash Review

- Teriyaki-glazed Spam Hash; $4.50
- Potatoes, Peppers, Onions, and Spicy Mayonnaise
Editorial Director, Rain Blanken: “The SPAM was so tender that sometimes we weren’t sure what was potatoes and what was SPAM. Everything about this dish was exactly right, from the yum-yum-style sauce to the bits of green onion. For a festival item, it’s a sizeable portion, so share with a friend.”
Tuna Poke Review

- Tuna Poke (New!); $7.00
- Eel Sauce, Spicy Mayonnaise, and Crispy Shrimp Chips
Editorial Director, Rain Blanken: “I proclaimed this best of the booth as soon as I saw a cup of tuna. For the price, this is a generous portion of tuna poke, seasoned to perfection. It’s chilly, so it makes a great summer treat. The puffed chips were flavorless, but served as excellent vehicles for shoveling poke in my face.”
Passion Fruit Cheesecake Review

- Passion Fruit Cheesecake; $4.25
- Cheese from Emile’s Fromage Montage
- with Toasted Macadamia Nuts
Editorial Director, Rain Blanken: “If you enjoy a mild sweetness, this cheesecake is for you. It’s part of Emile’s Fromage Montage, and if you’re taking that trip down cheese lane, then this is likely the least rich of the dishes you’ll consume as you collect all the dishes.”
Aulani Sunrise Review

- Aulani Sunrise; $14
- Vodka, Dole Pineapple Juice, and Grenadine
Managing Editor, Timothy Moore: “This drink is heavy on the pineapple and heavy on the vodka. If you are looking for something a little stronger but still sweet enough for the heat, this is a must-drink. The vodka makes for an interesting take on the traditional tequila sunrise.”
