Press photos are one thing— honest reviews and on-site photos are better! This is where we will post photos of what we were served and our candid thoughts on this year’s selections.
Roast Bratwurst Review

- Roast Bratwurst in a Pretzel Roll; $5.75
Editorial Director, Rain Blanken: “This mini dish is a good taste of a good brat without filling up. There really is so much bun in each bite, though. Pro tip: tear apart the bun and dip in the mustard.”
Schinkennudeln Review

- Schinkennudeln; $4.50
- 🧀 Cheese from Emile’s Fromage Montage
- Pasta Gratin with Ham, Onions, and Cheese
Editorial Director, Rain Blanken: “Certainly cheesy, these noodles are a version of macaroni and cheese that only Germany could serve up. The ham and onions are prominent, adding a lot of flavor to this hearty little plate. Pair with the beer flight for a cheesy good time.”
Apple Strudel Review

- Apple Strudel; $4.25
- with Vanilla Sauce
Editorial Director, Rain Blanken: “This apple strudel is one of our favorites, with a flaky pastry shell and fresh apples that spring back. If you’re used to grocery store strudel, this dessert will show you what it’s really all about.”
Beer Flight Review

- Beer Flight; $9.75
The beer flight at the Germany booth includes three delicious brews, two of which are new for 2021.
- Gaffel Kölsch (*NEW*) Review: “Dry and crisp, like any good kölsch should be. This was a pretty flavorful drink.” – Managing Editor, Timothy Moore
- Weihenstephaner Lager Review: “If you don’t typically venture outside the comfort of a Bud or Miller Light, this is the beer for you.” – Managing Editor, Timothy Moore
- Schöfferhofer Wild Cherry Hefeweizen (*NEW*) Review: “Easily the most exciting beer in the flight. This truly tastes like a carbonated cherry Kool-Aid, with a strong flavor and a heavy after taste. While it’s the best of the booth, I still prefer the seasonal (as of July) beer served at the Germany Pavilion: the Konig Ludwig Weissbier, with strong hints of banana.” – Managing Editor, Timothy Moore
