by | Nov 4, 2021 | EPCOT, WDW Blog, WDW Food

Eat your way around the world with the 2021 EPCOT Holiday Cookie Stroll during the 2021 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. Here’s everything you need to know.

The 2021 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays kicks off on Nov. 26 and runs through Dec. 30. During that time, you can be wowed by the tales of holiday storytellers, hear your holiday favorites during the Candlelight Processional (yes, it’s back!), and enjoy your favorite Disney World Christmas snacks from Holiday Kitchens representing various cultures and countries.

And then there’s the Holiday Cookie Stroll. Designed for the sweet tooth in all of us, the 2021 EPCOT Holiday Cookie Stroll involves five cookie purchases to get a sixth cookie free.

🗺️ 2021 EPCOT Holiday Cookie Stroll Locations

This year, you will need to visit five different food booths (Holiday Kitchens) spread throughout World Showcase. After you’ve purchased and eaten the specialty cookie at each, you’ll go to a sixth location for your free treat.

The sixth location with the free cookie is Holiday Sweets & Treats.

Holiday Cookie Stroll Strategy

If you are planning to stroll the entirety of World Showcase and casually enjoy the Holiday Kitchens, you do not need a strategy for the 2021 Holiday Cookie Stroll. But if you’re an Annual Passholder or a parent running on limited time before a toddler meltdown, here is your best bet for completing the 2021 EPCOT Holiday Cookie Stroll as fast as possible:

Entering through the main gate

Pick up your Festival Passport as you enter the park (where you would also get a paper map) and hook a right toward Canada at World Showcase. Pick up your Yukon cookie, then your L’Chaim cookie, then your American Holiday Table cookie, and finally your Bavaria cookie.

Continue this counter-clockwise direction around World Showcase, giving your tummy a break. If lines are short, hop on Frozen Ever After in Norway, then head to Showcase Plaza to buy your final cookie from Holiday Hearth Desserts. Then voila, you’re right there for your free cookie from Holiday Sweets & Treats.

Entering through the International Gateway

This strategy is a little more nuanced than just making a big circle. Grab your Festival Passport as you enter and hook a right through France to pick up your cookie at L’Chaim. I recommend then heading past American Holiday Table to Bavaria, that way your stomach gets a little more of a break. Instead of completing the loop, turn back around from Bavaria, stop at American Holiday Table for cookie 3, then book it to Yukon for your fourth.

From there, it’s a short stroll to Showcase Plaza for the final paid cookie and the free cookie.

How the Holiday Cookie Stroll Works

To participate in the EPCOT Holiday Cookie Stroll, you will need admission and a Park Pass reservation to EPCOT. Currently, single-day admission to EPCOT is $109.

You will then pick up a Festival Passport, which is your guide to the 2021 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, including all the food booths.

Hold on tight to this passport. Each time you buy one of the special cookies, you’ll receive a stamp. You will need to show the passport with all five stamps to a Cast Member at Holiday Sweets & Treats to claim your free cookie.

You might want to bring a toothbrush with you and brush your teeth after. I find it to be a lot of sugar by the end of it!

A Failed (But Hilarious) Attempt at the Holiday Cookie Stroll

In last year’s Winter Wonderland issue of WDW Magazine, editorial director Rain Blanken shared a hilarious tale of her utter failure on the Cookie Stroll, which included stories of shouting “SAUERKRAUT” with German punk band Durch & Durch, getting distracted by all the amazing Japanese merch, and schmoozing Cast Members for free stamps.

Want to hear the whole story? Become a digital subscriber today to unlock nearly 100 issues of WDW Magazine, including this epic Christmas cookie comedy. Or, even better, subscribe to our print edition by Nov. 30 using the code 2xMagic to make our 2021 Christmas issue your very first, and we’ll send you a FREE print copy of our collectible Winter Wonderland issue. We’ll even pay the shipping!

2021 EPCOT Holiday Cookie Stroll FAQs

Here are some frequently asked questions about the stroll, but if yours isn’t answered, reach out to us on Facebook or Instagram. Our team will be happy to help you find the answer!

How Much Do the Cookies Cost?

Not all cookies are priced the same, but in general, EPCOT charges about $2.50 per holiday cookie. These aren’t your grandma’s cookies; they’re massive (but not Gideon’s massive) and well worth the cost.

Do I Need to Complete the Holiday Cookie Stroll in One Day?

Absolutely not. If you’ll be at EPCOT a few times during the Festival of the Holidays, it may be a good idea to spread this stroll out. Just keep your original Passport to collect stamps.

I Lost My Passport. Do I Need to Start Over?

If you have your receipts from the Holiday Kitchens where you purchased your cookies, Cast Members will usually honor those. However, it’s better to hold on to your Passport, as it’s the easiest way to get your free cookie.

When Is the 2021 EPCOT Holiday Cookie Stroll?

The Holiday Cookie Stroll runs for the duration of the Festival of the Holidays, from Nov. 26 through Dec. 30.
