Get ready to jingle those bells and deck those halls. Disney Merriest Nites is the brand-new 2021 Disneyland Christmas After Hours event you’ve been waiting for.
This year, Walt Disney World introduced the new Very Merriest After Hours event, which includes cavalcades and fireworks, extra hours on favorite attractions, and exclusive snacks. (Here’s how much it costs.)
Not to be out done, Disneyland has announced its own Christmas After Hours event, called Disney Merriest Nites.
Have Yourself a Disneyland Christmas

Favorite characters from various Disney properties will make an appearance across the park:
- Have an island Christmas over in Adventureland with Lilo & Stitch.
- Meet Princess Tiana in New Orleans Square for Christmas on the bayou.
- Catch Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, and other Muppet friends (and chickens, of course, always chicken) as they sing carols from a special coach.
- Head to Frontierland to wish Feliz Navidad to Coco‘s Miguel and even join in the dance party.
- Meet Buzz Lightyear as he leads the Christmas celebrations in Tomorrowland.
- Celebrate Christmas with Elsa in Fantasyland.
Throughout Disney Merriest Nites, you’ll have the chance to snap a pic in front of themed photo backdrops, meet some of your favorite Disney characters, and, of course, nom on all the best Disneyland Christmas snacks and drinks.
In addition, this 2021 Disneyland Christmas After Hours event ensures you’ll get a special viewing of “A Christmas Fantasy Parade.” Plus, select attractions will be open with shorter wait times, and you’ll get to see the special overlays on Haunted Mansion and “it’s a small world.”
You can also expect a visit from Santa and a little California snowfall.
Finally, entry to Disney Merriest Nites gets you unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital downloads throughout the night, so be sure to wear your favorite ugly Christmas sweater!
