What is Disney Very Merriest After Hours?
Disney Very Merriest After Hours is a new specially ticketed event taking place at the Magic Kingdom in 2021.
Disney Very Merriest After Hours replaces Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, which last ran in 2019 and was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic. Jumping from Merry to Merriest should tell you that Disney is pulling out all the stops to make this event the tops.

Will I Need Special Tickets for This Event?
You probably know the score by now—all After Hours events, including Very Merriest, require separate tickets. Your ticket to the event will grant you 2 hours of admission to Magic Kingdom, so you can show up at 7 PM on the night of your event and get the party started early.
Tickets are available to purchase now through Disney World. Given how fast these things tend to sell out, you may want to get on it sooner rather than later.
What’s Happening at Disney Very Merriest After Hours?
So far, it sounds like the 2021 Christmas at Magic Kingdom party is going to be a blast. And because you’ll get to enjoy Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show, I mean that absolutely literally.
On top of fireworks, you should get plenty of bang for the buck (however many bucks that happens to be). Disney says that Very Merriest will include character sightings, holiday-themed lighting and music, and festive attraction overlays and Cinderella Castle projections.
With the cost of admission, you’ll also be able to grab some special holiday snacks as well as ice cream, popcorn, and bottled drinks. And if you come extra hungry, you can indulge in some themed food and beverages available at an additional cost.
And the star on top of this tree? You’re guaranteed to see snow falling on Main Street, U.S.A., even if it’s still somehow in the 90s in December.
If you’re as jacked about Disney Very Merriest After Hours as you were that VHS copy of Cinderella you got Christmas 1992, bookmark this post and check back in August to learn more about how you can snag your tickets.
