Germany Booth Reviews
Press photos are one thing, but honest reviews and on-site photos are better! Here are photos of what we were served and our candid thoughts on this year’s selections.
Potato Pancakes With Apple Sauce Review

- Potato Pancakes (Gluten/Wheat Friendly, Plant-Based); $4.50
- With House-made Apple Sauce
WDW Magazine reporter, Allyson Koerner: “You wouldn’t think potato pancakes and applesauce would go together, but boy do they ever. This dish is completely plant-based and super tasty. You get two decent size cakes, along with some refreshing applesauce. If you want something both filling and light, this is a good choice.”
Potato Pancakes With Ham Review

Potato Pancake with Ham. Photo by Rain Blanken
- Potato Pancake (Gluten/Wheat Friendly); $4.75
- With Caramelized Ham, Onions, and Herb Sour Cream
WDW Magazine Web Producer, Kurdt Long: “I thought this would be more of a hash brown, but this potato pancake was moist and fluffy, making this a welcome choice for gluten-free guests who don’t get bready options very often. The ham and onion were great together. Cubed ham can often turn out rubbery, but this ham was soft and done just right. Mix around that herby sour cream to add a creamy texture to each bite.”
Pretzel Bread Review

Toasted Pretzel Bread. Photo by Rain Blanken
- Toasted Pretzel Bread; $5.50
- Topped with Black Forest Ham and Melted Gruyère Cheese
WDW Magazine Web Producer, Kurdt Long: “We expected a lot of salt with the pretzel bun and cheese combined, but were pleasantly surprised. Just the right amount of salt. The gruyère was crispy on top, and the ham was juicy. The portion is on the smaller side, so not shareable—get one for each person.”
Warm Cheese Strudel Review

- Warm Cheese Strudel; $4.50
- With Mixed Berries
WDW Magazine reporter, Allyson Koerner: “The warm cheese strudel with mixed berries is just as good as it looks. The cheese-filling is flavorful and if you love a cheese danish, definitely get this. The berries are just as flavorful and not too sweet or tart. This is a great option for dessert.”
