Today, please welcome Kathleen Logan Wolfe from Get Down to Disness as she shares what she loved about her experience at Disney’s Boardwalk Villas! Take it away, Kathleen!

While I have enjoyed stays at several of the deluxe Disney Resorts, the first and thus far only DVC accommodations I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing is the Disney BoardWalk Villas. All of Disney’s DVC resorts are worth a visit, without a doubt, but after extensive research I knew for this particular trip, BoardWalk was the one for us.
Location, Location…

You can’t beat this view – or the proximity to the parks! Photo by Kathleen Logan Wolfe.
For one, the proximity of the BoardWalk Villas to EPCOT is hard to beat. A short walk or boat ride and we are sauntering into the park through the International Gateway entrance. Our stay was during EPCOT’s International Food and Wine Festival so in this case, it was all about location, location, location! Being able to leisurely stroll or sail to Hollywood Studios was a plus too.
Take a Tour – for Free!

As frequent visitors to WDW, we try and do something new each stay. We’ve come to really enjoy taking tours and honestly, can’t get enough of them. When I learned that the BoardWalk offered the “Ballyhoo Tour” of the resort and that it was FREE, my interest was definitely peaked. At no cost, we didn’t expect much out of the 45-minute experience and boy were we blown away! As a family who grew up in the North East of the United States, frequently visiting the seaside towns the BoardWalk is modeled after, we thoroughly enjoyed all the history, actual antiques and replicas that dress the resort beautifully. Tour Guide Jim is a pleasure and a wealth of historical information. What a wonderful way to start a magical day at Disney!
The BoardWalk Life

Who’s up for a treat fresh from the bakery? Photo by Kathleen Logan Wolfe.
Probably my most favorite thing about BoardWalk Villas is what I thought I would like least about it. There is no traditional food court within the shell of the property. No matter, because there is a bakery. And a pizza window. And 3 restaurants. And a brewery. And nightly live entertainment-you get the picture, right? The BoardWalk is FULL of life and having to step “outside” to get a quick bite, drink or snack only enhances your experience. With all of those many options waterside and right on the actual boardwalk, you are immersed in the grandeur of the theme that drew you to the resort in the first place. Three cheers for the BoardWalk Villas!
