Last month we kicked off a brand new feature in WDW Magazine we are calling our Interview Series. Yeah, we need to come up with a better name, but for now…
Our first guest was none other than Jeffrey Sherman, son of Bob Sherman of the Sherman Brothers. Wow, what a way to start. Jeff’s interview was so big and full of fun that we had to spread it over 2 months.
I think my favorite part was when he talked at the very end when he talked about how his Dad was more famous than he thought…
I realized then my dad’s a little more famous than I could have imagined. That’s he and my Uncle Richard had touched and changed the world for the better. Even though Dad’s gone, his beautiful words and music live on and are beloved by each new generation all over the world.
I can’t tell you what a great time it was sitting down with Jeff and experiencing his life and the life of his family. I hope you got enjoy this great interview in our October and November issues of WDW Magazine.
In December we are going to be interviewing another Jeffrey. This time is Jeffrey Barnes who is the author of a really good book called The Wisdom of Walt. Jef has a very interesting job. He teaches a college course called The History of Disneyland. Sign me up.
Jef and I talk about his new book and his college course and how Walt Disney’s wisdom is so useful in today’s society. We talk about how Disneyland played such a major role in Walt’s life and some of the great lessons we can all learn from Walt’s Disneyland.
Over the next few months we have a whole bunch of interesting interviews lined up. You’ll be hearing a lot about the history of the parks and of the Disney Company from some of the pioneers, movers and shakers of the industry.
Be sure to check out the Interview Series each month. It’s really good!
