Today we welcome guest reviewer Katie Prevot from Destinations to Travel with a review of Sunshine Seaons at Epcot!  Take it away, Katie!

Most people don’t have favorite Quick Service locations, thinking of them as little grab & go places. But there are some spots at WDW, like the Sunshine Seasons in Epcot’s The Land, that are culinary experiences in themselves.

The Land pavilion is a beautiful place filled with two restaurants and three attractions. This is my favorite place in Epcot to grab a plate to eat. What could be better then sitting under those whimsical hot air balloons with ribbons and pictures everywhere, not to mention, having Soarin’ Around the World right next to you and getting to watch the Garden Grill rotate above.

This is a GREAT spot to get a seat – the booths and tables are divided up into several sections and are seemingly endless.  That also makes it a great spot to take a break as you won’t feel rushed to give up your table to another family.

The spotlight: Food! Eating here is so good I’ve even made a trip to EPCOT for a bite, more than once. The World Showcase gets a lot of foodie love, which makes this spot in Future World almost a hidden gem.  It’s really one of the best Quick Service options in Epcot – and that’s saying a LOT!

Sunshine Seasons is set up as a food court with stations and a central payment area for once you’d picked up all your nibbles.  The options here seem endless, with five different sections (Sandwiches, Soups & Salads, Asian Noodles, The Grill and The Bakery) where the menu items change all the time. Kids meals are not skimpy on choice either! You’ll get a great meal here and will never leave hungry.

These are not simple selections of food at all, looking at everything it is easy to feel like you are getting table service quality meal at a quick service location. Sandwiches are interesting, massive in size and taste. At the soup & salads section the salads look like works of art and can be customized to your taste. The Asian section has a delicious array of asian cuisine to taste, like my personal favorite the Thai cashew chicken. The Grill is where you can find the best green beans that I drool over and talk about nearly everyday. Not only do they have wonderful side items but the main courses are pretty great themselves: salmon, chicken, and pork are some of the meals you will get to choose from when you go to eat here.

OH! But you are not done yet…. now you get to go grab a dessert from the bakery department. I cannot think of a dessert that they will not have, and it is a really hard pick when they are all looking so yummy. Cakes, pies, cookies, brownies, puddings, cupcakes, special drinks, the list goes on to what you can grab here to add to your already huge meal.  PS: this is a great spot to have a dessert for a quick breakfast after your flight on Soarin’… just saying!

As I’ve mentioned – the food quality here is really more on par with Table Service locations, but that doesn’t come with high prices!  Cost for grilled meats, fancy salads, and to die for desserts are comparable to burgers, nuggets, fries, and pre-packaged little cakes at other QS locations.

If you’re on the Disney Dining Plan, it will only cost you 1 Quick Service Credit per person to dine here, and several items count as Snack credits!

One of the best parts about dining here – NO reservations required.
